THE FOUNDERS

It is out of passion for the guitar and by bringing together know-how that the Montreux International Guitar Show was born for the first time in 2022.

Dear friends of the guitar,

This second edition of the Montreux International Guitar Show should confirm the success of 2022... and it did, with over 3,000 visitors coming to meet the 80 craftsmen and artists over the three days of Switzerland's 'guitar festival'.

Like last year, the event featured a number of top-class concerts and masterclasses. We also counted on the presence of world-renowned influencers to raise the profile of MIGS internationally. Their approachability and friendliness delighted the public, who were sometimes stunned to see these 'new stars' in the corridors of the show.

The concert hall - an intimate 300-seat venue - was once again enhanced by the creation of a bespoke light show - some elements of which were installed for the first time in Europe - and an exceptional sound system.

We also wanted to enhance the visitor experience, notably by installing soundproof test boxes in an adjoining room. As a result, visitors were able to try out a large number of instruments, amps, effects pedals and other accessories in excellent conditions, which naturally boosted sales.

The volunteers were there once again, and we'd like to express our gratitude for their commitment! We would also like to thank all our partners and sponsors, as well as the institutions that generously support us.The MIGS family continues to grow, and we look forward to seeing you in 2024!
